Jeanne Crowley Named 2014 Recipient of Dr. Brewster Martin Award

Jeanne Crowley began her career with the Clara Martin Center in 1995, and since then has earned her Masters Degree and become a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Her professional career includes positions at Clara Martin Center as a Clinician with the Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program, Access, Community Support Program and the Emergency Team. In 2006, she joined the Central Vermont Substance Use Services where she is Adult and Intensive Outpatient Services Coordinator, a member of the management team, project CRASH clinician and excellent clinical supervisor. She has dedicated her life to help improve the quality of life for so many people under her professional care.

Jeanne’s colleagues state that she abides by principles of Buddhism in her daily life and interactions – loving kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, equanimity, responsibility, honesty and respect of human values. Jeanne is deserving of the honor and respect this award stands for and she is an excellent model of the motto “People Helping People”. 

According to Jeanne’s colleagues, she is committed to self-learning and teaching others, saying she is “devoted and dedicated to cultivating strong staff, teaching them how to integrate their own personalities into the approaches they have learned in academia.”

Jeanne has been formally recognized by state leaders for her work and clinical interventions in complex cases.

Clara Martin Center is proud to honor Jeanne with this prestigious award.
