As part of “May is Mental Health Month” Clara Martin Center employees held Green Up Day activities at their locations in Randolph, Bradford and Wilder. Believing that healthy environments contribute to overall well being, Clara Martin Center took their motto “People Helping People” to the streets to help the communities they serve.

Successful Redesignation for Clara Martin Center

Clara Martin Center has successfully completed the redesignation process with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) for Community Rehabilitation and Treatment, Adult Outpatient Services, Emergency Services and Children, Youth and Family Services programs.

Netsmart Connections Conference

Key CMC staff were able to participate in the 4 day annual Netsmart Connections Conference, held this year in Washington D.C. from October 25-28th which was attended by more than 1,000 health and human service participants from across the country. Netsmart is healthcare’s largest post-acute EHR provider, and is committed to helping health and human services providers deliver coordinated, integrated, outcomes-based services and care. Netsmart clients include mental health and addiction services agencies, health homes, psychiatric hospitals, private and group mental health practices, public health departments, social services and child and family services agencies, managed care organizations, and vital records offices.

Austin Elected To National Board of Directors

Tammy Austin, Director of Child and Family Services at Clara Martin Center, has been elected Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB). Her two-year term will begin in January 2016.

Clara Martin Center Ready To Help With Real Life Issues

“We’re all caught in this.” Commented Clara Martin Center’s own Dr. Kevin Buchanan who sat as a panelist for the forum entitled Real Life’s Issues: Drugs & Our Community, organized by the Town of Randolph. The need to change how society perceives addiction, and the addict was clear from comments revolving around drug use in the community.

Clara Martin Center Goes Tobacco Free

Clara Martin Center will institute an enhanced tobacco free policy on all of its campuses beginning July 1, 2015.
