Therapeutic Groups

Men’s and Women’s Recovery Groups

The goal of a Recovery Group is to enhance relapse prevention skills and broaden the understanding of recovery as a lifestyle change. The groups are gender specific and trauma sensitive. The groups meet once per week.

Who Can Access:

Individuals age 18 and older with a substance abuse/dependence diagnosis who meet the outpatient level of care as determined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Placement Criteria. Participants in this group must have a desire to live a substance free lifestyle.

Motivational Group

The goal of a Motivational Group is to help develop increased awareness of the impact alcohol and/or drug use has had in the participant’s life. In addition, we hope to increase the level of motivation to make healthier and safer decisions regarding substance use. The groups meet once per week.

Who Can Access:

Individuals age 18 and older with a substance abuse/dependence diagnosis who meet the outpatient level of care as determined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Placement Criteria. Participants in this group must be willing to acknowledge that their use of substances has interfered in some aspect of their lives.

Co-occurring Issues Group

The goal of a Co-occurring Issues Group is to improve the health and self-care of individuals with both a substance abuse and mental illness diagnosis. The groups meet once per week.

Who Can Access:

Individuals age 18 and older with a co-occurring substance abuse/dependence diagnosis and mental health diagnosis who meet the outpatient level of care as determined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Placement Criteria and be willing to acknowledge that substance use has interfered in some aspect of their lives. Other Groups Other groups are run at different times of the year as the need presents from the clients being served.
