Community Support
Clara Martin Center provides a variety of programs that support the unique needs of youth in our community:
Support Services
Support Services offers intensive support to facilitate skills development in community based and home settings. The child is assisted with recreational, interpersonal, and other learning opportunities that promote successful achievement of individualized goals.
Respite Services
Respite Services Respite Services provide hourly or overnight mentoring and supervision of the child. Offering a planned break, respite enhances family functioning and community connections. Emergency overnight respite seeks to alleviate stressors impacting client and family functioning.
Runaway and Homeless Youth Services
Runaway and Homeless Youth Services Runaway and Homeless Youth Services provides shelter homes for youth age 14 – 21 who are at risk of homelessness or who have runaway. Support is provided for up to 2 weeks, during which time team intervention helps to resolve issues of conflict and stress, leading to the development of long term support.
Therapeutic Summer Program
Therapeutic Summer Program provides youth with access to therapeutic summer activities that promote wellness, social skills, emotional and behavioral growth, and positive connections with their communities. A wide variety of offerings spanning from support in existing community recreational programs to more intensive, clinical groups allows for development of summer planning that meets each child’s individual strengths, needs and goals. Collaboration with area youth programs enhances the Agency’s working relationship with others to promote wellness for all children and their families which in turn strengthens the community as a whole. Youth, ages 5 to 16 years of age, deemed in need of structured summer programming according to his/her mental health and/or educational team are eligible for this program.
Children’s Upstream Prevention Services (CUPS)
Children’s Upstream Prevention Services provides a team of Developmental Educators, Mental Health Clinicians, and Case Managers. With a variety of backgrounds and early childhood experience to share, they bring ideas and resources to families. Although the challenges are similar, every family is unique as they work to address their child’s social, emotional, and behavioral health. This service is a collaborative effort between the Orange County Parent Child Center and the Clara Martin Center. Call 802-685-4859 for more information.
School Based Services
