Therapeutic Groups
Adolescent Substance Abuse
The goal is to help participants develop increased awareness of the impact alcohol and/or drug use has in their lives. In addition, we hope to increase the level of motivation to make healthier and safer decisions regarding substance use. The groups meet once per week.
Who Can Access:
Adolescents age 12 to 21 with a substance abuse diagnosis who meet the outpatient level of care as determined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Placement Criteria. Minors age 12-18 are allowed by federal regulation to be admitted to our outpatient program if they wish to receive help for their own substance abuse problem. Children under the age of 12 must have parental consent to obtain treatment.
Coping with Family Change
The goal is to assist the adolescent in finding positive outcomes in challenging family situations. Adolescents seeking emotional support and guidance through divorce, families with substance abuse, foster care, separation, or family conflict can benefit.
Who Can Access:

Anger Management

Other Groups
Other groups are run at different times of the year as the need presents amongst the youth being served. If there is a grouping of people receiving individual therapy who might also benefit from a group treatment model, a group will be initiated.
