CMC Appoints new Executive Director
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Melanie Gidney to the role of Executive Director
The Board of Trustees of the Clara Martin Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Melanie Gidney to the role of Executive Director, following the retirement of Linda Chambers, who had served in the role since 1994. Ms. Gidney has been working on an interim basis in this role for the past year as a support to Ms. Chambers while she was on extended leave.
Ms. Gidney has been a dedicated and highly respected staff member and leader at the agency for over 27 years, with an impressive mix of clinical and administrative experience that has positioned her well for this role. After starting at Clara Martin Center in 1992 as a Case Manager and then as an Access/Emergency Clinician, she transitioned into various leadership roles that included Human Resources Director, Director Of Operations, and currently as the Agency’s Director of Quality Assurance and Systems Improvement.
Ms. Gidney has demonstrated an enduring commitment to the Clara Martin Center staff, clients and to the communities served. She is a lifelong Vermonter, who has strong family roots to the Orange County area. Her passion for people, her empathy and ability to connect with others makes her a strong leader for our organization, and make us excited for the Agency’s future.
Clara Martin Center is a community based, non-profit organization that provides acute and long-term behavioral health care services: offering a comprehensive array of mental health and substance use services to the greater Upper Valley area including Orange County for over 50 years.
